I've been watching a programme 11 months ago

called The Mummy Diaries that is all about mothers who have terminal cancer and about a group called Winston’s Wish who help them and their families cope. Tonight one of the mothers was determined to finish making a quilt for her youngest daughter before her time ran out. While I had decided I wanted to make my girls a blanket each long before I saw this programme seeing tonights episode made me realise how special it will be even though I am fortunately not ill and hope to live for a very very long time yet.

And we're off the starting blocks 1 year ago

Because I can never make anything easy for myself I chose to do a blanket for each of the smalls that consists of single squares that take me a good 1-2 hours to knit up..each! As time is usually a premium this could take a while :/ But I have so far managed to knit up 3 squares, only another 984873405029 to go :)
