Probably not the most exciting for other people to read but it was new and very fulfililng to me :D
This month I have learnt 2 new knitting stitches.
- The loop stitch and
- The drop stitch.
Intentional drop stitches look so much nicer than the old oops I dropped a stitch look that I’ve managed before.

Taking part in the formation of a petition and spending time today sitting in our local supermarket collecting signatures. I am part of a group who are petitioning our local council to commit to building a new, larger and fully equipped Academy in replacement of the current Academy which is old, too small and in a state of disrepair. Even the HMI inspection report deemed the building unfit for purpose.

So my October plans didn’t quite work out but I did have a couple of new fulfilling experiences.
- Knitting my first ever hat.
- Attending a charity race night, where the horses were made of wood and the roll of a dice decided which one won.
- Making up my own pattern for a knitted toy.

and I need to focus and make some plans.
So…. for October
- I am going to carve some vegetables using templates (the only time I’ve done this in the past I’ve just cut out a rough face but this year I want to carve a spectacular jack o’lantern)
- Attend an annual burning of the Wickerman. (This event is being held at a Prehistory Park that me and the smalls have been to before so we know that there will be plenty of fun to be had.)
