Write a rails app in 24 hours

Well Todd, your not the only one.

• Slept
• Cleaned home desk
• Taken care of the kids

And am now starting 10.5 hours in on the app.

Now I just have to pick among the 3 apps I’ve considered.

1. Collekster
2. Day Camp Adminstrakia
3. World Peace (working title: End Game)

• 3 is difficult in 24 hours;
• 2 is useful but limited to Scouting;
• 1 it is.

Collekster

intent: A collector’s dream

• On-line private collection database
• Visibility rules (private/public)
• Available for trade list (add/remove)
• email notification to owner of trade interest
• searchable trade space
• tags used to define collection type space
• future: integration w/ known authoratative collector database for price/value information
• mid-future: on-line build of price/value information (similiar to wikimedia’s building of encyclopedia (price/value self regulated by community of collectors)

Well that’s enough for now.

Now I just need a place to host it for show.
