So it seems I have enough energy to either keep my house clean or exercise regularly. I have been exercising for about 2 mo. and my house has been messy just about the whole time. So… this one is back on the menu until I can get it back into shape and am able to both exercise and keep a clean house. I know I can do it… it’s just that the first step’s a doozie :).

So my house has been more or less clean for 6 months (minus 2 weeks around midterms). So… since I pretty much know how to keep it up (put stuff up as you use it, set aside a day each week to tidy, pick out stuff to throw away/ give away to de-clutter each month), I’m going to mark this as done :). I am so much happier and less stressed when my house is clean, so this will definitely be a priority to maintain from now on.
And the house is still clean! We’ll have lots of company for a few weeks, so that should help too.
My house has been more or less clean all semester long! This is definitely a first for me! The office got a little messy during midterms and finals, but I cleaned it right back up when my papers were turned in (that so DEFINITELY counts!). So I’m looking forward to keeping the house this way through the fall semester. I know I can do it. I just have to set aside some time each week to tidy up, and remember to take the extra few minutes to pick up after myself when I take things out. I feel so much happier, more accomplished, more “grown-up,” and way less overwhelmed when my house is clean. Plus, we’re always ready for company!
It’s been about 2 weeks and the house is still clean! That is a very happy thing. And I have a mini break coming up where I can do some refresher stuff to it. I’ve got be be coming up on a personal best for keeping anything clean, let alone a house.
