I came across this web page and surprised to learn that ethic portion will be moved from REG to BEC so, does this mean we don’t have to study CPA ethics and Code of Conduct under REG??

The newly approved CSOs reflect changes in content, organization
and structure, and in the weights assigned to Content Areas as a measure
of the extent of their coverage on the examination.
Among the many changes – both large and small – the new CSOs
indicate that the testing of ethics and independence will move from
the Regulation (REG) section to the Auditing and Attestation (AUD)
section. (However, topics related to ethics and responsibilities in tax
practice will continue to be tested in REG.) Also, business structure
topics currently included in the Business Environment and Concepts
(BEC) section will be tested, in the future, in the business law area of
REG. New topics will be added to BEC, including corporate governance,
and redefined information systems topics will be presented in
BEC from the perspective of management of a business entity.

As compare to FARE, I spent very less time in preparing REG and I am half as confident when I was giving FARE. I got 75 in FARE so, does that means I am definitely going fail in REG????

Is FARE result out? I checked on the website and i could not see it. It still says “Scores Not Found”. Am I doing some mistake in checking it. I put the section id no. and the DOB.

There is one critical difference in the notes on Reg D Rule 504. Acc to Becker, general solicitation is prohibited and there is restriction on purchaser’s right to resell but Acc to Wiley, general solicitations are permitted and no restriction on the purchaser’s right to resell. Which one is correct?

I am studying REG from Becker and today I checked Wiley and I came across few chapters which are not in Becker. Can I ignore those chapters and just focus on Becker’s Material? My exam is in two weeks and I have lots and lots to cover!!

I can’t memorize all these percentages and amounts in REG especially in individual tax section. There are so many and I keep on forgetting. How did you guys manage to do it? Please help me.

For AUD, is it ok to use 2008 books?? Or do we have to refer 2009?

Which book is good for AUD?? Is becker sufficient?

I gave FARE exam on 17th Feb MA jurisdiction. Does anyone knows whether the scores are out? I tried to check on nasba but it’s saying “Scores not found”
