Not A Pro

It is difficult to really determine how I will measure when I have truly learned how to play the harmonica. I took private lessons religiously for 6 months. I have mastered all of the basic techniques and many of the intermediate ones. I can play numerous folk tunes and several famous solos, including “Piano Man.” I also can play the blues, which I believe is an essential harmonica skill. I am not necessarily ready to play gigs for money but I can play, so I think that I have acheived this goal. Yeah!

Time Off

I am taking some time off from harmonica lessons due to my increased hours at work in the fall. I hope to resume them in January. I still practice occasionally and believe that I am no longer a beginner, which is awesome.
