organize my stuff

My home is not perfect but mostly organized. Just about every item has a “home” so we know where it should go if its not already there. I sorted out my closet and have two large bags to donate. I think that I have finally acheived this goal!

I am working on organizing things and my place is mostly organized. But as one room is organized the next becomes disorganized and it is a constant cycle. I was hoping that at some point I would be able to declare my home as completely organized. I fear that is just not possible.

As I have been unpacking, I am still sorting and organizing. The new house is MUCH more organized than the old one. We have twice as much space which allows for better organization. We also have much less stuff. However, I still am have difficulty organizing my clothes because we don’t have any dressers yet. Ugh! This weekend I need to go thru my clothes again and consider donating some more of them. There’s just too many. Also, it is getting warmer and I have no idea where my summer clothes are. Last but not least, I have about ten items that I need to sell on ebay.

This week I cleaned, sorted and organized….and cleaned, sorted and organized. We took two pick-up truck loads of old furniture and various item to the dump. I also took a whole trunkload of stuff to the Salvation Army Donation Center. It feels revitalizing to give. It makes me feel free to have less stuff!

Yesterday I spent most of the day organizing and packing. Since I am moving and I have to move most of the stuff myself, I am more motivated to donate or trash the questionable items. I think I could open my own Salvation Army store for a week!

Now I am forced to get my act together and organize my stuff because we are moving within a month.

I have too many clothes! I spent some time organizing them so I will be prepared to move.
