There still aren’t any flowers. One of the plants is dying. The others look okay but they aren’t growing taller and they aren’t growing buds.

I guess that technically I have acheived this goal because I have 4 sunflowers that are still growing. However, I don’t think that they are going to flower. There aren’t any buds forming….they’re all leaves. In my neighborhood, most of the sunflowers are already flowering. HHHmmm….

Somebody mows our lawn. We don’t pay and don’t know who he or she is…..but it gets done every couple of weeks. I transplanted ten sunflowers to the back of our yard near the bushes two weeks ago. They all were sticking up between three and six inches. The mystery lawn guy mowed over them!!!!!!! Its hard to be upset with the person…..but what should I do? I think that I will put up a garden fence, but is it too late? Will they grow back? UGH!!! At least I kept 4 in pots…..maybe I still have hope to get a giant sunflower to grow!
