I have begun to notice that when I wake up in the morning I immediately start thinking of something shitty I either did or have to do, so instead I have been stopping myself from the negative thoughts and make myself think of 10 things I am glad for. I feel a bit like Pollyanna but it’s working. It totally turns my mood around!

are so important to making people happy. I don’t know why I look at a situation and instinctively think of something negative about it that makes me feel bad about myself—maybe it’s a defense mechanism, or the only way I really know myself, by comparing myself to other people (another goal to work on), but I do believe we all have the power to create our own realities through our thoughts. My goal is to see the positive in every situation—by being in the moment, by being grateful, by appreciating others, by loving myself, by laughing more—and to make my reality positive and happy.
