Damn. I get off this site for a couple months and I’ve let all my goals go. How depressing.

I have quite a few books I’ve read, but have been too lazy to record. So hopefully, soon, I’m going to post them all in one entry. Because it would take too much effort otherwise. ;)

Book #18 2 years ago

“Size 14 Is Not Fat Either” by Meg Cabot

Rating: 3

Reaction: I just wrote this, but then it got deleted and I’m really pissed right now because I have to write it all over again. So here it is short: I liked it because of Heather and her personality. I disliked it because of the predictablity and the crappy, cliffhanger ending. Goodbye.

Book #17 2 years ago

“Boy Meets Girl” by Meg Cabot

Rating: 3

Reaction: Boy, am I glad this series is over. Talk about grating on your nerves! After the first book, I could do without the annoying e-mail/diary/note format. I miss normal novels. But anyway, the story was okay. Again, predictable, and this one had a lot of the same things as “Every Boy’s Got One,”—like racist parents and rich people. But whatever. This ending was the most satisfying of them all, but I’m just so tired of these books that I can’t manage to give them any higher rating.

Book #16 2 years ago

“Every Boy’s Got One” by Meg Cabot

Rating: 3+

Reaction: This was also a cute book, but the reason I gave it a lower rating was because it was even more predictable, and wasn’t very exciting. I enjoyed how it took place in Italy, and Cal really is adorable, but after the 1st book the e-mail thing started to grate on my nerves.

Book #15 2 years ago

“The Boy Next Door” by Meg Cabot

Rating: 4-

Reaction: It was cute. I kind of forget a little of it, but it’s my favorite of the Boy series. It was funny and romantic and, although a little predictable, really adorable. Melissa and John really work, and I liked the whole dog thing too.

Book #14 2 years ago

“Can You Keep a Secret” by Sophie Kinsella

Rating: 4+

Reaction: This was really surprising. I randomly picked out this book while shelving adult books at the library, but it turned out to be a really great book. Really funny (I couldn’t stop laughing at some parts), romantic, dramatic, and…funny. Yeah, it was really funny. But then again, I have a weird sense of humor. Anyway, the whole “secret” aspect of the book was interesting, and Emma’s interactions with her family, co-workers, and friends kept you interested. The only thing I didn’t like about this book was that some of the parts were unrealistic. Like, I can’t imagine anyone blabbing all of their secrets on a plane. Hey, but what do I know? And the rest of it was really great. I’ll have to check out Kinsella’s other books.

Book #13 2 years ago

“Size 12 Is Not Fat” by Meg Cabot

Rating: 4

Reaction: I thought this was a cute book. I’ve discovered that reading about adults is kind of interesting. It’s a nice break from over dramatic high school stuff. This was a good read. Funny, suspensful, with a good plot. Meg Cabot has not written one book that I didn’t love. This one is especially great because, well, the title speaks for itself. It’s really uplifting to have it published. Size 12 isn’t fat, and the main character, Heather, with her spunky personality, makes sure everyone knows it.

Book #12 2 years ago

“The Angel of Death” by Alane Ferguson

Rating: 4-

Reaction: I liked it. I wish I’d know it was the 2nd book in the series because I would have read the 1st one 1st, but I could still understand everything that was going on. The ending is a little unsatisfying, but that’s to be expected because apparently there’s going to be another sequel. But overall, it was good. It definitely had me hooked – so much so that I put off finishing my English essay till I was too tired to think. A nice mystery with some romance, as well as some family drama. I didn’t like how things between Cameryn and Justin were never settled, but I guess that will be addressed in book #3. It was a bit gross reading about their dissection of humans, as it was quite graphic. But it was a look into the whole forensic side of things that I’ve never read about. It was interesting, and I’m patiently waiting for the next book to come out (patiently meaning I’ll probably forget about it by the time it comes out).

Book #11 2 years ago

“The Secrets of Boys” by Hailey Abbott

Rating: 4+

Reaction: I was definitely surprised by this one. In a good way. I liked how all of the guys Cassidy liked (which were only 3), were nice guys, and not the stereotypic jerk. I thought is was a little uncharacteristic that Cassidy had sex with Zach after only knowing him for a couple weeks, when she wouldn’t let herself do it with Eric, boyfriend of two years, until he said he loved her. But whatever. I kind of wish Joe had been around longer, because he’s a complete sweetheart.
