Contemplating medication. 9 months ago

Due to a serious lack of energy and difficulty focusing, I’m considering trying an anti-depressant again.

While I’d really love to go through therapy, my old therapist and I decided that it isn’t going to be beneficial until I settle down and can go see someone once a week for at least a year.

I was doing well managing things with daily exercise, so I’m going to try to incorporate cardio into my daily routine for the next couple of weeks. However, if this doesn’t make a difference, I’ll be making an appointment with a psychiatrist.



Shifting the goal... 2 years ago

For some time I had “Beat my depression” marked as completed. I had, in fact, “beat” my depression at one point in my life, but after several conversations with my therapist, I’ve determined that it is something I will have to manage for the rest of my life.

And it is something that I have not been managing very well lately. At all.

I need to take my medication more consistently and get my sleep schedule back on track, because it is seriously whack.

Exercise wouldn’t hurt either, and if I could get over my anxiety (Hmmm, I should add that goal, too…) maybe I could leave the house and go to the gym.
