I tried :P

My boyfriend and I were going to ride bikes the other morning, but we couldn’t get my tires pumped. I took my bike to the shop to see if something was wrong with the tires or if it was user error. It turned out to be the pump. They fixed it, so I’m looking forward to being able to ride my bike again—it’s been way too long.



30 minutes today

First time on my bike in a while…it felt good. :)



when I was concerned about bike safety...

...I didn’t think I had to worry about being murdered. :(

A woman cyclist was murdered last week on a trail I’ve considered riding on by myself. I know it was a totally random, senseless act, but I must admit it has creeped me out.

I rode my bike for an hour today. My legs were jello afterwards, but it still felt good. :)



as part of my mission...

...to make some of my goals more specific, this rolls up into my “given up” goal of “get in shape.” It also is part of my goal to “become a better snowboarder,” because cycling works out a lot of the muscles I have trouble with when I’m riding.

I plan to ride for about 10 minutes as a warm-up to any run, but I also want to get in at least one longer bike session of 45 minutes to an hour each week.

I rode for an hour today, so I’ve met it for this week, but I’ll probably ride a little during my pre-run warm-ups too. My legs are jello, but it feels good!
