Learn Objective-C

to reading become an xcoder, i finished my first test app-thingy a few weeks ago. for the interested, details and download link are “here”http://miniondesign.com/solo, and i wrote a little more about it here.

the syntax of the language is easy to grasp, and it’s really just C with a bunch of brackets, so i feel like i understand the basics of it. the hard part is everything else.

as a day that the geekery gets even worse.

i’ve spent quite some time here in the past few days/weeks reading tutorials. there is a shitload of information.

i think this one is going to work. i had an idea (i’m going to build a homework machine!!!) that i wanted to get started on, so i jumped into interface builder thinking that i’ll just slap it together only to realized that i actually have to learn this language. i’ve got this slick interface dealy that does less than nothing. it just sits there taunting me and my ignorance.

anyway, what i’ve seen is nothing like what i remember of c++, but i could be way off here. still, it looks like fun. too bad there are only two books in the school li-bery, and none at the city/province/whatever one. amazing.
i’ll check one of them out tomorry and see where this goes.
