God, why am I talking about this? I’m too young! And I’m totally not ready. Maybe in the 8th grade… possibly the 7th. That’s what Lyda said. She set up the rules that she wouldn’t date til middle school. So why is she dating that brain ache Dylan?! We’ve told her many times that she can dump him whenever she wants, that we’ve been entertained enough… but she never does it. This is sooooo funny and I’m glad I’m not going through it.
On the other hand, my bff Laura is about to break up with her 2-year-running boyfriend Jim because he’s immature. I told her that that’s why I don’t have a boyfriend, and she said she’s got three guys she wants me to meet. Ooh, I hope one of them is the one that looks like Daniel Radcliffe!!!!
UGH! Will you listen to me? I’m 12 for God’s sakes!

I am 12, so I don’t usually think about this sort of thing. But ever since I set up two of the most spazziest kids in the grade (my bff Lyda and a dummy named Dylan) and they’re still dating, my thoughts have been going through these things. Why haven’t I kissed anyone except for my involuntary cousin Trevor? (Hey, it was just to see what shade of scarlet he’d turn! We had to restrain him!!!!) Why aren’t I dating anyone? Why isn’t there ANYONE to choose from?! Oh well, I’ve got my guy friends, and I’m sure I’ll be making a lot more next year when I go to a school with 900 kids. Who knows? Maybe I’ll reunite with that cute guy from Cotillion Reunion…
