learn ruby on rails

After trying to understand the book from B&N and reading all the web tutorials I could find, I finally found a book I can understand – ‘Agile Web Programming with Rails 1.2’

Good stuff. I’m 133 pages in, and have a store created on my local machine with AJAXy effects and all! Still have a long way to go in the book, but I’m trying to learn as much as I can. Rails is complicated!!

I got a Barnes & Nobles gift card for Christmas, and picked up a Ruby/Rails book. I hope to know what I’m doing by the end of January

Until I can find a tutorial that isn’t written by an ex-javascript developer, I have to put this on the backburner. What I really need is a tutorial that will help a PHP/MySQL casual developer get into rails…but I haven’t found that yet…
