Finally.

I sat down this evening and finally did this.
- A letter to the government of Zimbabwe asking them to revise Operation Garikai/Hlalani Kuhle
- Letters to the governments of Ghana and Tanzania asking them to intervene in the harassment of activists in Zimbabwe
- A letter to the president of Guatemala asking for the pursuit of justice for Claudina Velásquez’ murder
- A letter to the president of the Dominican Republic asking him to put an end to the abuse of the human rights of Haitian migrants
- A letter to the government of Saudi Arabia calling for the protection of the human rights of Fatima A
I also went to Oxfam’s Make Trade Fair site and sent emails to:
- German Chancellor Angela Merkel and EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson (concerning the EU’s unfair trade policies)
- The CEO of Starbucks (unfair trade with Ethiopian farmers)
- The CEO of Novartis (court case with Indian government that could restrict the government’s right to make life-saving medicine available to people who couldn’t otherwise afford it)
