Ah! Tried this again yesterday, and it was the single most wonderful thing I’ve done in a long time. Left to my own devices, I exercize very lightly, or not at all, so I didn’t know the total awesome rush that comes of being made to do 45 minutes of intense aerobic workout and hitting and kicking something many times very hard.
I’m not a violent person, but the hitting and kicking was especially novel. I liked to imagine, throughout, that I was starting to get a little taste of why the Fight Club was so appealing in the book/film. Of course, I have no idea, but…
But maybe if I get in good enough shape I’ll start the Kung Fu or Jui-Jitsu class the dojo also offers. We’ll see.
I am looking forward to the next class, tomorrow night, ver much. I can see myself getting very fanatical about this.
I changed this goal from work out in general to kickbox. Hopefully being more specific will be more motivating.
Okay, so a single kickboxing class aside, I haven’t done this since I got back from vacation, almost a month ago.
I mean, except this one time I used a balance board while watching TV.
