bake a cake a week for 27 weeks

Rhubarb cornmeal cake- yummy!
Made with spelt flour so everyone could have a piece – or two!

oops, fallen behind on recording this, think I missed a couple of weeks of baking – but the tea-party was definitely more than one weeks worth!
Made lemon cake and blue cheese biscuits to take to B and M’s last week….and blue cheese biscuits at the cottage the weekend before.

Also been sampling a lot of other people’s baking over the last few weeks too!

complete with Victoria sponge, strawberry shortcakes, cheese scones, blue cheese biscuits and jam sandwiches – definitely met my baking target this week!

lemon cupcakes on friday, and was also given a friendship loaf to work on, added more ingredients today and have another 4 days of mashing the bag to go!
bought some tiny cupcake trays at the yard sale too…mmmmm….

tried carrot cake? mmm….one of my favourites. why not branch out and try courgette cake too, if you can get over the green tinge then you’re in for a delicious treat, especially if you drown your slice in lemon icing too…...what sunday afternoons were made for.

No piccies this week, but i made a lime bakey thing, which looked atrocious but tasted delicious!

have realised I wrote bake a ‘cake’ and not just ‘bake’, but am going to let myself off….if it involves mixing in a bowl and baking then it counts!

a savoury bake….feta parcels, some with tomato some with honey, all with rosemary because i love it. Also cheese scones, some with olives. Lovely jubbly.

started on fairy cakes again this lunchtime – but disaster, no eggs…..after much flapping, decided on ginger cookies, a little cakey but tasty anyway.
