Doing this in steps… By June 20 (my birthday) I will have got hold of the software I need to record the .wav files; and then the software I need to make the .wav files into mp3.

I know I have the right leads—I’ve recorded a .wav file using Windows sound recorder, but it won’t let me record more than about three minutes. Boo.
