Seriously

I need to start doing crunches again!

One thing's for sure

I’m definitely getting closer everyday.

My legs are killing me!

Yesterday, I did a lot of running and skateboarding, not to lose weight, but to increase my metabolism to use up stored energy (fat) in my body quicker. My body fat percentage is actually better than average, but I have a small amount of fat over my lower abs, so I’ve added more running to my training. I took a day off today, because my legs are really sore! I think I’ll do 3-4 days a week, and give myself breaks every other day. This actually has many more positives than just increasing metabolism: I’m getting good cardio in, increasing my cardiovascular endurance, increasing my muscular endurance (if you count my legs being used), my leg and core muscles are getting stronger, and my skateboarding’s improving. It seems like a good idea, even though my legs are still a little sore!

If only

I had a treadmill. A nice, working treadmill that showed distance and speed. I’d be able to get a good mile or two in every morning in my own home. Instead, if I want to run, I have to go outside and bear the Georgia humidity. Oh well, it’s the same thing I have to do for skateboarding. :/

I’d take dry heat over humidity any day.

120 crunches a night

and my abs are getting their shape! I also do 30 butt raises (lay on your back, keeping your legs off the ground, and try to raise your butt with your core muscles; think the first movement of a kip-up). I’m gonna add more exercises, like plank poses.
