This is in conjunction with my house plan. I’d love a tiny little garden mainly because I dislike large time consuming spaces and my house is only going to be little. Still a sizable tree is important along with lots of lovely climbing flowers of all sorts of colours. I’d love some sunflowers and either a bench or a park swing. Possibly even a fish pond! I’d like to think of it as an outdoor room where I can have a small “party” or just hang outdoors when the sun is shining and pop my hammock and tiny kiddies inflatable pool when it is awfully hot. Well, those are some ideas to work with at least. I might want to map it out first, the layout anyway before I go plant “shopping” online to work out what plants I do want there, features etc.

I want to have a balcony garden when I move into my hopeful new apartment Feb/March and ultimately when I gain my own house a rooftop garden. I love flowers. I’d like two rose trees, a white one and a red one so I can sing -“We’re painting the roses red”_ like the cards in Alice and Wonderland but I’d really just love a sunflower with some sweet smelling flowers to add to its pot. I’d love Jasmine – it smells delightful. None of the tomatoe plant gig for me. Give me gorgeous flowers like marigolds or sunflowers anyday! grins
Aside from owning my own house, I think I’d really like to have a garden, something small and fairytale inspired. I want to have a place where I can curl up in semi-sunlight and read a book on lazy summers or have a garden party or something. Perhaps a circle of turf in the middle… A little Snow White-esque wishing well with a little fish pond in the bottom…. Foxgloves, bluebelles, pretty flowers everywhere and of course a massive tree with leaves that will cover the whole lawn! A little bridge because what isn’t complete without a bridge? Of course Alice in Wonderland-esque rose bushes… hmmm… Very storybook.
