move out

Paid the bond today :) Cost a pretty penny but Mummy-dearest gave me some money to help me out. I will save it and put it towards useful things rather than spending it on pretty things. The agency is trying to track down previous tenants who FORGOT to put in their keys but luckily one of the girls knows them so we’re hunting for them. With any luck we’ll have keys in our hands or at least the agreement signed by Friday / Monday. So exciting. I am now hopefully switching bank accounts and opening a new one so I can get my money system happening. Then packing and moving and change of addressing and things.

Just got the call and found out we were approved for this perfect house. Five girls, six bedrooms, two bathrooms, right near work and a uni bus interchange – heaven. Costs a pretty penny. It’s a darling house.

Saw an OK house today.
Seeing the house we all love tomorrow.
Fingers crossed.

He didn’t show. We arrived at 11:10, the inspection wasn’t until 11:30. We waited until 11:45, rang him and he told us he was there from 11:30 onwards and we didn’t show so he went to work. Utter lies. We were frustrated because we traveled over two hours each one way to be there and he couldn’t show. Urgh.

On Friday we get to inspect this great house. We’re still looking around because another friend of ours wants to move out of her sharehouse too. We want something fairly close to the suburb my work is in. It’s only a stone’s throw from uni. My parents are being scarily supportive as long as I am financially secure of course. We found a really cute unit as well but so far haven’t heard back about that one. A few granny flats and things. We’re not too picky. I hope we find somewhere soon otherwise she has to transfer unis and go back up the coast. Do not want.

My best friend from university and I have our fingers crossed to move into this really cheap partly furnished share-house. We’re super stoked and we’re starting to gather our “homey things”. The only downside is the move is two days because the new semester starts.

Decided I’m moving back to my hometown. Found a sweet cheap place too but won’t be even thinking of moving there until I’ve got my degree and then got a job there though. Practicalities. In the mean time – stockpile.

I want out on my own.
A teeny one bedroom apartment with horrible water system, dodgy kitchen and barely enough space for all my stuff.
Just near Uni or hell, even China Town but that’s dodgy during the night and on Fridays.
I just want out of my house.
‘Cept I should probably learn to cook first.
Yeah that first.

I definitely want to be out within the next three years.

My best friend, future housemate told me things at home for him just got a whole lot worse. He said “Can we move? ASAP?” He’s really hurting. We’re both not really prepared financially but it calls for desperate measures. I’ve made a list of things we need and we’ve put in one application for a house. When I get home from work tonight I will be scouring looking for something.

Two conditions – SMALL and close to rail. I need rail to get to Uni.

Hubs has decided he wants to wait a little. He’s between a rock and a hard place financially at the moment so we’ll wait until oh about June. I will be at university by then, I hope it works out well for us. He’s a great person to be with and we’re quite a like in habits. My university is over the other side of town and will take two bus trips and two train trips to get there every day plus two car trips from my house to the station. We must live within walking distance of a railway station!! MUST.
