Manage my money better

I have nearly gone cold turkey on spending on the ‘wants’ in life. My only credit card usage was for mom’s birthday present (more of a need). The thing is that now I have a long list of things that I want to buy! If I see something I think I want I write it down and if I still want it when I have the money I can allow it….theoretically. I have to work on either prioritizing the list or becoming a Buddhist monk. :-D

The evil temptress, CompUSA, has discounts on green iPod nanos (is it fate?). I am secretly hoping that once I decide to go for it that they are gone.

DH and I have gone over our monthly income and expenditures amounts to come up with a plan for how to distribute the money we have to spend. He has been covering the property taxes for a couple of years now out of his own money, so we finally have an account for this too.

Other than that, I am trying not to spend because I spent the last three weeks buying bike accessories and other active fitness items and I need to cool my heels. Fuel and food are the only acceptable expenses until I sell some of the stuff I have.
