My 3 year old today said ‘Did you know I love you?’ and flung her arms around my neck. I said I did, and she told me I was crazy. Cool kid.

My hubby did a virtual hug today. We talked about how nice it would be to see each other at the weekend, we made plans to eat at a japanese restaurant for sunday lunch. My one meal for the day will be prawns I guess. Yum.

The extra hug he gave me was to book my 40th birthday holiday – a cruise down the nile. yay. So I guess I’ll turn 40 looking at godheads a few years older than me.

We also booked a week in devon in a holiday home in October so that the kids can have fun. It’ll take us 4 or 5 hours to get there but it will be worth it. The girls will spend a week with grandparents in June, the older ones will go abroad with their dad in the summer, so October is a nice treat before the winter. I found a site that has not only tons for the kids to do but a rather swish looking spa with gymnasium. Perfect for hubby, perfect for me. We have things to look forward to, happy family things and lots of time to fill up the old hug tank.

I could do with an extra hug today. My husband lives away all week and hugs are a bit thin on the ground around teenagers. Fortunately three year olds can fill gaps but it’s not the same as getting a hug from your partner.
