backpack through Europe

So I’ve started. I backpacked for about three weeks, but I haven’t gone everywhere I’ve wanted and I don’t think it did it long enough to really get the full backpacking experience. However, I did live only in hostels and only out of a backpack! I traveled with my best friends and flatmates to Paris for 11 days, and it was perfect. I mean, it rained almost the whole time and I forgot to pack flats (I WAS IN BOOTS WITH A HEEL!!) so my feet hurt terribly, but it was romantic and beautiful and such an important life experience with people I love so much. Then I went to Barcelona to meet up with my best friend from the states who was studying in Ireland at the time. We spent three days there I think, and I LOVED it. I love the relaxed, young, artistic feel of the city. It’s where I vowed I would learn Spanish. Then I went alone to Madrid (5 days I think), which was amazing. I traveled alone, as a young woman, to a place where I didn’t know the language. I changed so much from when I first left America! It was amazing.
