I was visiting my flatmate from London at her college. Apparently they have a tradition where you skinny dip in the fountains, because Katharine Hepburn did it when she was a student there. So at midnight we took wine and cigarettes and undressed. It wasn’t that deep and it was freezing, but it was so pretty—the stars were out, we could see Mars or Jupiter, and it was so quiet. Someone actually walked by, but I guess it’s pretty common there—they even chlorinate the water!
