Hi All =) 3 years ago

It’s been way too hot here to knit… I was doing some tatting… but otherwise, I’ve not been doing any needlework since we moved into our house… it’ll all come back to me this fall though when it cools down a bit =)

Welcome (and apologies) 3 years ago

I just sent some more invitations to join the “Finish More Knitting Projects” team….Welcome to those who are just joining us =)

...and my apologies to everyone if for some crazy reason you got multiple copies of the invitation… it kept saying that it failed, and until I figured out what was wrong, it may have sent the inviation several times…

Knitting and Listening 3 years ago

my knitting has been neglected lately because I’ve gotten involved with recording audiobooks… but anyone interested in listening to free audiobooks can download them here http://librivox.org … or even join in with reading a chapter or two or three or… well, you get the idea =)

etsy.com 4 years ago

I just heard about this website: http://etsy.com for buying/selling handmade items…

It is easier to sell items here than creating my own website… but classier than ebay… see what you think =)

(Edit… corrected the url… try it again =)

Shawl finished 4 years ago

http://www.knitpicks.com/Projects/Projects_Display_Yarn.aspx?itemid=50354220&yarnid=5420120

Dropped stitch shawl from knitpicks… cool feature of this pattern include: quick to make with size 10 needles and dropped stitches ; self-fringing edge

I actually bought and used the yarn they sell for the project (Twist).... which has beautiful colors and hand when worked up, but the downside is that it is plyed with a strand of Viscose which snags on everything…. I was able to weave in a few of the snaggy bits though and am pleased with the finished product…

I plan to send this to my sister-like friend who recently divorced… it’s her “Congratulations! You’re single!” gift hehehe … I’ll try to post a pic this weekend =)

Blessing in disguise 4 years ago

... my car finally bit the dust which, of course, is rather inconvenient, but it is forcing me to suddenly ride the city bus to work…. which means an extra 40 minutes a day knitting [grins] ... though the bus is super bumpy, i’m not sure how it will work out for knitting, but we’ll see.
