build an earthship

I am still working on my diorama. It is coming along nicely. My wife is impressed and has agreed to my building a shed in the backyard using the same methods as an Earthship.

Rented the Hut Earthship for two days. The Hut has no A/C or fans. Front door open and all skylights open the whole time I was there. Forgot to mention the large window in the bathroom that was also open. Over 86 degrees outside in the early morning but between 70-72 degrees inside the living room. Middle of the night still around 70 degrees inside. Stepped out to look at the stars over New Mexico. I should have put some pants on. Overall I was highly impressed and this will go over into my worth doing file later.

Substituted grommetts for tires for the diorama/model of an Earthship I’m building. Have planned to go 1:48 scale on the model.

I have ordered the first book in the series about Earthships. I went to the bookstore and got a book on contracting your own home and am waiting for an e-mail back from a manufacturer of model tires. This is so I can build a scale diorama of an Earthship using scale models of the building materials. Will post pictures of diorama if ever become available.
