Amy does almost all the real cooking. I do the barbequeing. It’s amazing how we end up falling into these predictable patterns if we allow it.
The thing is, when I do something I want to REALLY do it. SO for Thanksgiving I couldn’t just make a cream pie…I had to make a thirty step caramel walnut tart that involved making my own crust, etc. I find that this is a hurdle for me-being satisfied with small projects. So that’s what I’m going to start doing-whipping up the mac and cheese, the morning scrambles, the roast chickens. Amy deserves to just show up for the meal once in awhile.
