become more independent

Bought a car! Been practicing driving, pretty much just have to take the test to get my license. Have money in the bank but my car is having problems (overheating) and I have to pay for tuition + books in the next couple weeks so I may be broke again very soon.

Still pretty dependent on my boyfriend but hopefully working on it.

Progress:
*Bought a car!
*Got a job
*Graduated high school
*Started college (nearly done with the 1st quarter!)
*Savings : )

To do list:
*Get license
*Move out
*Have $2000 in bank account
*Fix car (ugh!)
*Make a plan!!!

I’ve been saving which makes me feel really great and like I can rely on myself in a financial way. And I really feel like I am beginning to be happier with myself and find myself again. I definitely still have a ways to go but I’m getting there.

However, my progress on getting my license has basically slowed to a stand still. I am saving to get a car though : )

This is coming together:

Just got a job, graduated high school, and am working on getting my license and a car.

Then hopefully, I’ll have my own money and my own way to get places and I won’t be relying on everyone else as much. As for being so dependent on Scott, hopefully I can start to find myself after all the other stuff falls into place.

I am way too dependent on my boyfriend, and I always become this way when I’m in a long term relationship. I really need to work on this, especially since now that he has to leave for days at a time for his work I find myself not knowing what to do with all my time and myself in general. Plus, my bestfriend is moving so I need to be more independent so I can deal with that better.
