I’m starting to get irritated by FLYlady. I shall blame PNI combined with PMT! My house is getting better but I’m not FLYing properly & don’t think I will again until the PNI cloud lifts.
I’ll go back to the FLYlady system some time next year as I used to love it.

I guess one of the great things about FLYlady is that you’re never behind, so I’m going to take Time Out for the next 2 days & concentrate on getting ready for our weekend away in Centreparcs.
Yesterday was a bit of a loss as I started with very bad hayfever & ended up taking a piriton which makes me very drowsy. Didn’t take it til the evening, but I had a v good night’s sleep which was much appreciated.
I also tidied the front garden with Val from next door yesterday, so the front of the house looks good again.
We also had a surveyor around to measure our windows for the new double glazing & I set up the paddling pool in the back garden as it was very hot.

I really must buy one of these & see if it makes me enjoy dusting. You never know …

Ok, so I’m now getting into this FLYlady thing now that I’m FLYing & not just taking baby steps & June’s habit is to make your bed every day.
Now, this is easy as I tend to do that 99% of the time anyway as it’s an ingrained habit from childhood. I’m not so hot at always making Kate’s bed properly, so will concentrate on remembering to always do that.
Must also add these 2 tasks into my Moring Routine print out.

I’m doing the June Super Fling Boogie with a team in 43 things, so take a look at my 43rd goal & see if you want to join us :)
I’ll be posting about what I fling in there each day or so.

All done, minus finishing pampering myself & reading in bed :)
Did the morning, afternoon & evening routines, the FLYlady missions, unpacking, put the dining room table back together, unpacked my desk (it was moved on Sunday) & went into town (in the rain, not really to be recommended)
Andy helped with the evening routines by putting Holly to bed, emptying the bins & tidying the lounge.
Kate is unfortunately still up as she napped this afty.
I also found cooking the evening meal completely stress-free as I’d planned yesterday what to cook last night & tonight. Must remember to do this every day, as it means I can just cook the meal on auto-pilot as I’ve all ready looked through the cupboards / fridge & made the decision before I get hungry.
The MIL is coming up on Friday, so I need to make sure the place is tidy & as clean as possible. It won’t be perfect as there’s too many unpacked boxes & chaos for that.

It’s my deadline to start FLYing properly tomorrow. I think I’m ready. I’m aware that I don’t always manage all the missions or put away clothes every day.
DH has said he’ll help me each day if he can share in the reward system I was thinking of setting up.
Not sure what it’ll be yet or how many days I have to be “good” for. Possibly only a week or so initially to motivate myself. I’ll see as I go along.
The reward will be a personal treat, such as a lush bathbomb or similar. Not just using an existing one, but buying a new one to use straightaway, not to sit in the bathroom & be admired for ages.
I did actually put today’s clothes away this evening, but there is a mound of clothes in Kate’s room from the weekend that Andy sorted out & then just chucked on her floor. That irritated me as it sets her a bad example, but I can’t really critisise as there’s a pile of bedding & “stuff” on the floor of our bedroom that I chucked there myself. I want to stop doing this & put things away immediately, not procrastinate by creating hotspots that grow daily.

Am thinking of buying something for my birthday from the FLYlady shop. Will take a proper look tonight, but let me know if you’d like anything ordering too when I put my order in.

I’ve just finished mopping the floors as I find it easier to do this in the evening rather than the afternoon because of drying & a 3 year running in & out of the kitchen / garden during the day.
It also takes far longer than 15 minutes as I have 4 floors to do.
Didn’t manage the quick dust either this week or last, mainly due to the fact that I really don’t do dusting & am kidding myself that I’ll do it when I have an ostrich feather duster.
I do actually dust as & when I spot something needs it though, so maybe that’s good enough? Not sure.

I must clean my keyboard – it is revolting & probably has alien lifeforms living in it :/
