My weight had started going up again this year & when I finally decided to do something about it, I was at the heaviest I’ve ever been, bar pregnancy.
I’ve been going to Slimming World & have lost half a stone so far :)
I used my new fitbug last week from Thursday to Sunday & it gives weekly targets & charts etc based on each week. I knew I’d done ok steps wise, ie:
Thursday: 10,717
Friday: 11,531
Saturday: 13,438
Sunday: 12,680*
I was a bit confused initially when my weekly steps target was only 9,800 steps, until I realised that it had added up my 4 days & calculated the statistics using 7 days.
So, my targets are a load of rubbish this week, so I’m hoping to have genuine ones next week.
The foods listed are a bit weird too & concentrate on unhealthy things, at least that’s what it looks like. I’ve not been able to list everything I eat as it’s not included. I don’t eat that healthily either, I want to improve, so it’ll be even worse shortly. My calories are understated each day, so the statistics there won’t be accurate.
Apart from that, I am finding the pedometer side of it great, you can’t re-set it by accident which is what I used to do with my cheapo one. It does tend to unclip itself whenI bend over though, which I do lots of times each day with 2 young children, but I’ve used the strap & wound that around my belt loop to stop it dropping to the floor each time. Perhaps this won’t happen as I slim down & have a smaller waist / stomach.
I’ve just bought a fitbug & started using it yesterday as I’ve put on half a stone after stopping my anti-depressants.
I walked 10,738 steps yesterday, 2089 of which were aerobic, totally 2.19 miles.

I’ve lost 4 lbs in the past week & am now back under 11 stone, just though. Am 10 stone 13.
Goal again is to get down to 10.5 stone, I nearly made it last year & got down to 10 stone 8.
Not sure what I can do about my back fat though, I assume it’ll jsut go if I eat sensibly for a few months? Anyone know? :/
It’s taken me half an hour to get dressed as I could hardly get into my jeans & it was a terrible sight when I looked into the mirror. I seem to have put 3lbs on in the past few days!
I’m wondering as I’ve cut my citalopram dosegae down to half what I’ve been tkaing for the past year, if it had changed my metabolism somehow as I’ve put on 7lbs since Christmas & I’ve not been eating or exercising any better or worse than usual.
The new dress I bought last week & looked great then, now doesn’t look quite so great as I have a massive c-section overhang & look 6 months pregnant. Not a good look, unless of course you are pregnant & blooming. I think the whole 7lbs is on my stomach & back fat :/
Looks like I’ll have to start dieting again as I wanted to be slimmer, not bigger for the summer.
Am still 10 stone 11, but haven’t been watching what I eat that much. I was actually 10 stone 13 on Monday as I get bad pre-menstrual water renention & that has eased off again now.
Am now 10 stone 11, need to try & get down to 10 stone 7 as that was my Christmas target. I managed 10 stone 8, so was a pound out. I then want to go down to 10 stone by the time I go to see Robbie Williams in concert in October.
I also measured my boobs a few weeks ago as I’ve been wearing size 38B bras, as I went from a 36 to a 38 after my first pregnancy. I realised that I’m now a 35 inch chest, so actually need a 36C bra, so I now have a few new bras in the right size. Need some more though as I kep running out as laundry is not my forte.
I finally weighed myslf as I have post-christmas flab. I’m 10 stone 13 & was 10 stone 8 a few months back.

Back to the diet …
I’ve decided not to weigh myself each week any more, but just to carry on as I am attempting to eat better.
I’ve dropped 2 dress sizes from a 16 to a 12 & am even wearing a pair of size 10 jeans today.
I want to concentrate now on eating better all the time, not just some of the time & improving my fitness.
I shall put down some new goals to help me achieve these.
Thanks for everyone’s encouragement with my weight loss. I’ll probably still weigh myself as & when & may well have to diet again if the weight starts going upwards. It’s been static for 6-8 weeks now anyway.
I feel so much healthier & can run around the park without feeling like I’m going to collapse. I was having fun climbing up the climbing frame in the playground with Kate earlier in the week & wouldn’t have done that a few months ago!
