I started very well, but my PND got very bad & I stopped flinging completely. Am still very chuffed with what I did manage & will do this again next year.
Thanks for organising the team effort :)

Just filled another bag as Sense are collecting today. It has the 9 pairs of socks in (nothing wrong with them, I just never wear them) a bag of outgrown baby clothes & 5 or 6 tote bags that I never use.
Woo!
1 bottle of lavender moisturiser my MIL gave me when I was pg & is too perfumed for my sensitive skin
9 pairs of socks that I no longer wear
will add to this as I sort and fling
I was sleep-deprived & hallucinating with tiredness yesterday, so went to bed at 6pm instead of doing housework.
Just hoovered & tidied Kate’s room & flung:
1 empty doll’s house furniture box
3 pots of dried out playdough
1 baby gap gift box that Kate must have poured water into at some point.
22 of my old scarves from Kate’s dressing up box.
I decided with the scarves that it was time to let go as a lot of them were given to me by my ex MIL as I used to wear scarves with my suits at work. I still left about 10 or so for her to play with & I still have 5 or so in my wardrobe for the occasional time I wear a scarf.
We don’t need the other 22! Really, we don’t!
If anyone wants them, let me know as I think I’ll put them in the local charity shop when when come back from Centreparcs after next weekend.
I may keep them & wrap books up in them when I send RABCKs, that’s an idea :)
My arse is in gear as there’s a collection tomorrow & I have an un-collected bag from another charity who never turned up. Added a few more bits to it yesterday & it weighs 10lbs:
3 Nighties
1 Jeans
2 top & tail bowls
1 bikini
2 sports bras
8 bras
2 swimming costumes
2 cardis
1 jumper
2 shirts
1 skirt
2 unworn pairs of pants
All the clothes are in excellent condition, they’re just too big for me now. The clothes apparently go to the third world for people who can’t afford to buy their own. I hope they enjoy some of my designer lables :)
I replaced the 2 change mats that we’ve had for 3.5 years with a new one & flung the old ones.
I may fling some of my massive collection of creams & lotions & only keep the ones that I use regularly.
Last week’s Sunday Times, last week’s Mail on Sunday, all the bumph with both of them, a brochure on prams & the latest M&S magazine that Holly had chewed.
Not that much, but it all helps :)
Plus another empty packing box. And a pot of hair cream that Andy tested for cosmeticresearchonline and didn’t like.
Yesterday was the hall closet (which I don’t as yet have) & today is magazines.
I will attempt to sort through our box of coats though & actually put them away, esp as the MIL is coming up this afty.
Magazines I’m not too bad on as I’ve had to buy less that I used to due to a smaller income & I did give away all my glossy Vogues etc to the doctor’s surgery just before we moved. I’ll take a look though as we do have a pile of Sunday supplements etc in the lounge that Holly “reads” by ripping up & shredding!
I’m also going to take the bag of clothes to the charity shop tomorrow, so will list what’s in there as it’s getting heavy.
Well, I only flung 1 lone washing up glove & 1 empty packet wrapper for dishcloths, but I certainly know that I don’t need to buy cleaning products or cloths for a very long time! Had no idea I had so much stuff in there. I also pulled it all out & scrubbed the cupboard, so that’s a job well done :)
