From a 5k to a 10k…Running is addicting!

So I want to run in a full marathon. Right now that is something that I cannot do. However with some training and work, I can get there. I’m registered to do a 5k run on the 4th of July with my brother dan. I’ve been pretty faithful with the training so far and it is paying off.
I went for a training run the other night and was running a pace of 10.4min/mile. Now that is nothing all that great. Execpt for the fact that I was at a pace of 12min/mile just a week or so ago.
I’m loooking forward to doing the 5k. It’s a good place to start. My next race will be a 10k. After that I want to do a half-marathon.
Later all…

SO I did my 30 min run last night and am running a 12 min mile. Not that good…But something that I will be working on. I want to get to a 10 min mile for my first run. With some more training, I’ll get there.
So I’m back from Morocco and need to get back in shape. What better way that to run a 10k. It’s a good starting point for a full marathon.
If you head over to Nike.com they have a traing log that you can use. It’s all free and of course you will see lots of Nike shoes…but it’s a good starting point.
I talked to my brother Dan and he wants to run with my. I’m excited. I actually hate running but that is part of what keeps me running. It’s hard. But can be done.
