It was on hold for a long time while I recovered from illness and surgery. But that hiatus, as hellacious as it was, moved me almost halfway to my goal weight.
So now I’m ready (and highly motivated, both because I can feel the difference in my energy level and because I’m getting into clothes that didn’t fit me last summer) to reopen the 10-pound mini-goal and make some more progress toward my goal weight.
Let the losing begin again!

...of losing 5 pounds.
So I just raised the bar a bit, and adopted “Lose 10 pounds” as my next mini-goal.
Am now 11 down, with a total of 79 more to lose.
I didn’t put it on overnight (though I did put on 50 pounds in a 6-month period over this past fall and winter), so I don’t expect to lose it overnight.
I’m already feeling a difference in my energy level – not surprisingly, considering that I’ve ceased to cart around the equivalent of an entire bowling ball (recommended bowling-ball weight for an adult female beginner: 10 to 14 pounds).

I mean, it’s definitely my ultimate goal. In my case, “this extra weight” = 90 pounds.
From reading other 43T entries, I note that there are more specific goals, and also that many folks are (quite sensibly) breaking this one into sub-goals of 5, 10, or 20 pounds at a time.
For now, I’ll keep this one on my list. But I’ve also added “Lose 5 pounds.” Two more to go for that one. And given that I’d already lost 5 pounds in the weeks immediately before I joined 43T, I’m actually almost at the 10-pound mark.
