I find going to the hairdresser embarrassing and awkward :S

im always paranoid that the hairdresser thinks the hair cut i chose is too cool for me or would look horrible, and i can never get exactly what i want, ntm, 3 hours of idle conversation is pretty exhausting!

does anyone have any tips, suggestions, reading or videos that tell you how to cut your own hair?? im particularily interested in Layering and straightened hair
