Although, I do occasionally log onto lernu.net and read another chapter of “Gerda Malaperis”. I also have a text on my nightstand, and I sometimes browse a little befoire I go to sleep. I wish I could set aside blocks of time to concentrate solely on this, but not with a 16-month old!!

Now, I’m working through “Gerda Malaperis”. It’s rather clumsily written (at least at first), though I can understand why that would be necessary as a teaching tool.
I’m really enjoying lernu.net. I’m almost done with the Ana Pana course right now (I’m glad, I’m getting a little tired of her). Fortunately, the woman who “grades” my exams is awesome! She has a lot of insights and comments (and corrections, too!). I sneaked a peek at “Gerda Malaperis”—It starts out rather melodramatically, but it’s good for practice.
I love the idea of a universal “second language”. The thought of being able to communicate directly with other people, no matter their native tongue, pleases me. I visit Lernu.net whenever I can, and am slowly making my way through the lessons. I look forward to the time when I can respond to messages fluently, instead of the broken, pidgin Esperanto I use now!
