I never noticed this before, but it seems that one of the manufacturers of pre-fab fortune cookies (complete with fortunes) is actually labeled as being Kosher.
Kool.
Today it was the local China Garden one of many in this country that bears the same name, each different yet wildly similar…
This one came with a Happy Family Meal and a Moo Shoo Beef offering with the extra mushroom, egg drop and won ton soups…
Add an egg roll and a heated moistened wash cloth at the end to cleanse the soul before the tiny serving of sherbet in a dish with its accompaniment of the Kosher fortune cookie.
Todays blessing was…
You can either follow your fears or be led by your passions.
Sage advice for anyone.
I choose to take this one to heart.
Wisdom…
in a Kosher Cookie.

Your reputation is your wealth
Depending on the circle consulted, I should be a very wealthy man.

Sounds good…
But the years between then and now seem to be closing rapidly!

Is best handled throutgh a simple trip to a modest Chinese Restaurant…
P.F. Chang’s
And the fortune at the end of a delightful meal was as follows:
An unexpected event will bring you riches
Guess I need to just wait and see!

Odd to say, but I have noticed a waxing and waning of restaurants since the price of food and everything related to shipping has risen along with the price of fuel in a death spiral of expenses…
Restaurants have gotten creative through a combination of raising prices, lowering portions, cuting corners and alas: lowering the quality of both food itself, its presentation and the service.
Some restaurants are more adept at this than others.
They are the ones that will prosper. Perhaps reducing the menu selection.
Perhaps involving the customer in its preparation.
Regardless…
They will succeed while the less adept fade away or at best, become shadows of their former glorious selves.
Immmaterial for the matter at hand.
Today’s fortune reads as follows:
You are a lover of words, someday you will write a book.
Maybe…
The trick isn’t so much writing the book, but getting it before an audience who might actual purchase and READ the book…

Chinese Restaurant time… this a different one thatn the one I am used to frequent.
As a result there were two desert rounds EACH with its own fortune.
This is the second one…
Do you believe? Endurance and persistance will be rewarded.
I have endured the unendureable. I continue to fight uphill into the wind, with ever dwindling resources against ever increased odds…
Either I qualify as enduring…
or I am too stubborn to know I have been defeated long ago….

This was an enigma in itself (as is often the case) but definitely food for thought…
A modest man never talks to himself
I guess ths puts me on the spot.
Not only do I talk to myself, I often finding myself losing arguments to the other side of my head when they get to having disagreements…
