We were both feeling a little down in the dumps yesterday due to a fight/talk/discussion the night before about some issues we are having in our relationship. So last night we decided to go on a little date. It took some coaxing to get my husband out of his rut to do something fun, but once we did, we had a really great night! We got a pizza, went to the park and ate it in a pavillion, walked around the lake, and got frozen yogurt. We turned what was going to be a crappy, mopey, passive-aggressive night into something fun and out of the norm. It was one of the best times I have had with him in a while and today we are both in a great mood.

But we are going to a dinner and a movie Saturday and a baseball game Sunday since our anniversary is on Monday. We just haven’t had the money to go out. Any ideas on what to do for a date night at home? Maybe we will have a picnic LOL!
This is tough because we are tight on money now but we have done it a few times over the past several months. My husband just got a new job so once we get our budget down and things pick up I think this will become a more regular thing for us.
We try to do dates but we always end up doing something else. I’m going to try and make it a point to have at least one date night a month with him.
