This was easy when we decided to buy a house and move! We got rid of tons of clutter and junk and now we can start life in our new house by collecting more clutter that we’ll have to get rid of later!

I did a huge spring cleaning this past week and got rid of a bunch of old clothes that don’t fit or I don’t wear anymore. I also (with great sorrow and hesitation) gave away all but a few of my stuffed animals and toys :(
This weekend I think I will go through all my clothes and be realistic with myself. I am a long way from my weight loss goal, and I have some clothes that are smaller sizes that I won’t fit in for a while. Those can go to goodwill. I will keep a few for motivation, but I think it’s delusional to keep 6 outfits I won’t fit in for another 6-12 months.
This will clear out a lot of clutter.
I had three boxes of just plain crap that I wasn’t using stacked in my bedroom. Yesterday I went through a ton of stuff and now I only have two! This weekend I will take care of the rest. It’s so liberating to get rid of some of this old stuff and give it away to someone who will actually use it. I did find some very super sentimental things that don’t have any use but I just can’t pull myself away from them. I also found some stuff I will give my mom because she would kill me if she found out I threw away “The Big Book of Tracy” that I made in the 5th grade.
I can be a real pack rat. I know I have TONS of stuff I don’t even look at anymore, much less put to any sort of use. This weekend or next while I’m cleaning my house I am going to finally sit down with all my junk and make a huge donation to Goodwill of all the crap I don’t need anymore. I will TRY very very hard to even get rid of some or a lot of the stuff I keep around for solely nostalgic purposes. Maybe I will take a picture – they take up less space.
