My mum and her Boyfriend came over today and the talk got round to the motorbike thing.
and the fact that I’ve never ridden on the back of one, let alone got as far as learning yet, and he’s said he would take me out on his harley.
OK , he seemed to think that showing off my tat was a s good a reason as the fact that I would like to do it, but now i have to decide if I trust him enough to let him take me.
See thats been my problem…all the people that I know who have bikes are also not trustworthy, and I really really really don’t want to have someone go racing off with me.
I want to go racing off only if i am firmly in control thank you very much.
However, he may well be able to loan me a suitable jacket, so I’m looking at this as one step nearer to attaining this goal.

So, I got as far as ringing up a couple of training schools in the hope that I will shortly have the necesary sponds to pay for the course.
All was OK till we got to the “do you own some sturdy boots?”
YES
“and a thick warm jacket?”
Erm….....
Well, no actually I dont.
I have little denim ones, and posh work ones , and bloody thick warm winter coats.
But I don’t own anything that could possibly be called a warm jacket, let alone a thick one.
so now i have to go and buy something suitable to use when I learn.
And I have a dilemma.
If I fall off i don’t want it to be anything that i will be worried about ruining, but at the same time if i’m going to pay for it I’ll be damned if i buy something that i don’t like.
And should i go for a classic biker jacket [ downside – i will look like a prat] or something that I would normally wear [ downside – i will look like a prat once I get on a bike ]
Maybe I’ll wait and see what the weathers likely to be like when I actually start learning.
