Great Job Niel — 5 months ago
As part of my marathon training today I ran 14.48 km. When I passed the 10 km mark at 71:21 I was thinking of you and how nice it would’ve been to stop then. My left leg was already cramping and I knew I had miles more to go. Seeing your time of 67 was quite impressive to me. I wound up at 101:13 for my 9 miles, not as good as you, but considering this was the farthest and longest I’ve ever run, I’m happy.
Make sure you take some time stretching today so that you don’t wind up sore tomorrow. That’s one thing I’ve learned so far. You may not feel the tightness now post-race, but once your muscles cool down they can quickly rebel.
Anyway, cheers to you Niel. May this inspire you to run again.
