Today my family celebrated Thanksgiving in my new house. I also met with my electrician this morning before the festivities so that we could go over all the changes I want done.

Technically Done 1 month ago

Earlier this summer I began talking with my Grandmother about buying her house. I’d talked to her a few years ago after Grandpa had died, but she wasn’t in the frame of mind to do it then. We negotiated a price and an agreement as she’ll continue to live in the house. The deeds have been signed and filed at the courthouse, and all that’s left now is for me to make the final payment which I’ll give her when we get together next week for Thanksgiving.

I’ve already replaced the roof, added a chimney liner, rebricked the chimney, and installed a new antennae. I’ve also ordered rugs for four rooms, hired a painter to paint one room, and hired an electrician to upgrade the electric and rewire/ground the house.
