have 43 people (from 43T) help my Garden Gnome on his trip around the world

48 Gnomes are in police custody today as they showed up at a Lockport High School yesterday. I saw it on the news last night and you can read the story here or watch a video of the report here. I’m concerned for Rufus because it looked like he was among those pictured in the jail cell.

Can we get an update Hazelnut? Is Rufus safe? And when will he be sent on his next journey?

I didn’t make it back to town before the post office closed yesterday, so Rufus continued his journey today and is on his way to visit Brown Eyed Girl on Long Island. Rufus has been a busy Gnome the past few days he’s been here. He’s worked at the movie theatre, and taught obstetrics to the EMT class. He’s visited the paramedic class, and the remains of the Austin Dam. He’s going to work with me tomorrow, visiting the Courthouse and the Kinzua Dam and then he’ll be on his way to his next destination in NY.

Rufus has arrived here in Pennsylvania. He’s already given me a list of things he wants to do while he’s here, so I’ll have to see how many of them I can squeeze in before he has to hit the road for NY. Rufus’ll be posting some pictures to his Flickr account in the next couple of days.

I’d added this goal as an individual and now I joined the team and it’s taking a second slot on my 43 Things. S’alright though, because this is an awesome thing to do. Glad I suggested it. ;)
