My great grandmother was born December 6th, 1906, and we just celebrated her 100th a week ago. It’s simply amazing what she’s seen and been through. For the party, someone in our family got a bunch of costumes and outfits together, a set from each decade since the 1900’s, and put together a little fashion show. While the people were displaying the outfits (a few of which were my great grandmother’s), facts about the decade were read out – inventions, political movements, world events. So much has happened in the last 100 years. I wonder what we’ll have gone through when we reach 100.
