a moose once wandered through the suburban neighborhood where i lived. i don’t know where i was at the time, but i didn’t see it. also, on a long night driving up an empty road through maine or vermont or somewhere, i could’ve sworn i saw one standing eerily by the side of the road. we stopped the car and backed up, but it was either gone or never there in the first place.
