http://www.guitarnoise.com/easy.php has some good material. David Hodge writes well and includes mp3’s to follow along with. one of the better sites I’ve found and has gotten me into practicing again. hey, learn a Neil Young song in honor of the guy.
I have a DVD with a dude showing how to play “Twist and Shout”, “La Bamba”, “Louie, Louie”. I’m gonna watch and practice that this weekend—pretty easy stuff that sounds arright.
I’ve been trying for years and am still no good. I think something is wrong. maybe genetically I don’t have what it takes. I complain about my fingers not being meaty enough to do good bar chords and people say ‘no, you can do it’. I may be like the midget that wants to play basketball; sure it’s possible, but how good and at what cost?
