help my daughter find her dream job

I was talking to a colleague who asked my daughter to send her CV through so he could pass it on to someone he knows… it’s great how doors can open…

Now Miss 18 has finished her Barista training she is keen to put her skills to use & learn more. I had a chat to an old workmate & she’s giving Miss 18 a trial this week.

Picked up a 2nd hand coffee machine & looking forward to trying my daughter’s barista skills!

My daughter attended the first day of her barista course & had way too much coffee! She nearly blew up the kitchen with our old coffee machine – time for a new one i think.

Miss 18 was thrilled to be offered a job that will provide lots of opportunities to grow her skills.

She was feeling great from all the accolades the boss gave her.

She was very tired after a 3 hour trial – she’ll be knackered after 8 hours!

Miss 18 is still working out what she wants to do.

She has investigated a few opportunities but nothing has come off yet. I am surprised because she’s got an amazingly engaging personality.

I love the fact that my kids are all different, but I am struggling to find the right way to support & help Miss 18.

I tend to be a Mr Fixit & when there’s a problem, I want to do what I can to resolve it.

I’m sure she’ll let me know what I can do when the time is right – I was 18 too once (believe it or not).

My daughter is having lots of fun with her mates which is great, but not sure what to do with her life – it’s great to have so many options.

Today my daughter resigned from her “Wal-mart” type job because she felt under-valued. She’s off to a temp agency this week.

She is going to work at her part time job full time while she sorts out her future.

She is considering being a funeral director & I set up an appointment through a contact of mine.
