My wife’s step father is nearing the end of his time and my mother-in-law is looking after him at home.
The brain tumour is affecting is speaking, moods and he is now bed-ridden.
I noticed that the communication challenges were creating friction. I couldn’t find a tool to help, so developed a communication chart which could be useful for hospices, nursing homes or those dealing with similar issues.

Today I heard Peggy talk about her life & it was a wonderful, sometimes emotional journey.
Peggy is well known as the wife of Possum (the rally driver).
She took us through her life and the parts that have shaped her into who she is today.
The messages I liked were:
1. Live while you are alive.
2. Go hard or go home.
3. Acknowledge mistakes & move on.

I read a meaningful quote that went something like:
Happiness is not getting what you want,
Happiness is wanting what you have
I really like it.

I love giving compliments to people I meet. I made a store assistant’s day when I commented positively about her frames.
I think I felt as good as she did.
Giving compliments feels as good as getting them.

Had an amazing lunch at a wonderful restaurant called the White House.
The food, atmosphere, service & company were first class.
