Kind of scared to look at it.
I recently started a new job and it's good. It's not international, but it is a large organization that works globally. I"ve been there for 10 weeks.
Today I found a job posting in the agency, that is my same job, but for the continent of Africa. I want this job. It would take me to Africa about half of my time. I really think I'd do well. Not sure.
HMMMMM>
What do I do?

I got the job. It’s not in international education, but it’s an international organization that does work internationally. I will be in the US programs , but I’m on my way.

Kind of excited. I talked with a woman tonight who wants to interview about my experience in Ghana and the education program. I’m excited. I’m not getting paid for any of this work, and I have to remember that it’s the work I love and this may lead to more work.

I applied for a new job today. I hope it works out. I feel like I’m very qualified. t. It’s a good job with great benefits. It’s not in international education but I think it’s a good opportunity. I can still do pursue the grant for Ghana, and do this job. Plus if I get this job they will pay for my EdD.
I’m tired of this job search. I get so worked up when I send in the resumes, and so disappointed when it doesn’t come through. Positive thinking!! that’s what I need to do.

Good news about this goal. I was talking to friends yesterday and I was mentioning this dream job. While talking to them I realized that one of the friends is a grant writer and agreed to help me find a grant This could actually work. I need to get all my ducks in a row. But this could happen.

I just interviewed for a non international education job , thinking it’s a good job, It’s director of a child care center in my town. It’s an ok job, but during the interview I realized, I don’t want this, it’s so dry. I want to work in international education. That’s where my heart is. I need to figure this all out.

I found this great organization called bridges to understanding. I think they are awesome. I’m going to think about volunteering for them.
They connect students in developing countries with students in US. Yesterday they were brought together high school students from Guatemala, Tibet, and South Africa and US, a few from each countriy. They met here in Seattle and they are working together this week. Amazing!!!
